Kakadu and Arnhemland Tour Itinerary |
Day 1 - Darwin to Kakadu
Travel via Adelaide River and the Marrakai Plains deep into Kakadu National Park. Take a guided walk to view Aboriginal rock art at Nourlangie Rock. After lunch (at own expense) join the famous Yellow Water Billabong Cruise to observe saltwater crocodiles and prolific bird life. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays depicting local Aboriginal culture. Accommodation: Camping option is up-market camping (safari in style or similar) or upgrade to ensuite accommodation.
Day 2 - Arnhemland to Darwin
Enjoy a full day in Arnhem Land. Visit Injalak Arts & Craft Centre, see Aboriginal artists at work and outstanding rock art with a local Aboriginal guide. Visit magical Minkinj Valley in the afternoon. Explore this untouched haven and see 360 degree panoramic views. (L)
