Litchfield Day Tour Itinerary |
|
Located south of Darwin, Litchfield
National Park is scattered year-round with flowing waterfalls and swimming
holes. Briefly stopping at 'Windows of the Wetlands', where we learn about
the eco-systems of the monsoonal north, we pass the little town of Humpty
Doo on our way to litchfield. With spectacular scenery, monsoonal
rainforests and an endless amount of spring fed creeks, the Nationla Park
is home to intriguing giant termite mounds- some more than two metres
tall! Stopping at Florence falls, there's an opportunity for a guided walk
through the vine foreest. After pausing for lunch (at own expense), we
check out Wangi and Tolmer Falls before we head back to Darwin via
Batchelor. |
