Our Tour Guide will show you the back way to beautiful Mount Mee State Forest which is located approx. 60 km north west of Brisbane at the northern end of the D'Aguilar Range . Along the way we will stop at the Mt. Mee look out and enjoy the magnificent views of the Glass House Mountains and all the way to the coast.
Let's explore Mount Mee's beautiful open forests, scribbly gum forests, rainforest remnants, hoop pine plantations and picturesque creek scenery.
After a bushwalk we will have a well deserved picnic at the Gantry picnic area where you can see the remains of the old sawmill which operated here until 1981. Toilets, picnic tables, and barbecues are provided but please bring you own food. After lunch our Tour Guide will take you off the beaten track to a lookout to enjoy the magnificent views over Lake Somerset and Wivenhoe Dam. You will also have a chance to have a swim in one of the water holes before we make our journey to the Neurum Creek Bush retreat where we will light a fire, enjoy a cold drink and stay over night. |
